Ingredients

FOR THE MIXTURE

  • Potato 1 Large , steamed, peeled and mashed
  • Bread slices 4
  • Shredded cottage cheese 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  • Finely chopped onion 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
  • Coriander leaves 2 Tablespoon , finely chopped
  • Grated ginger 1 Teaspoon
  • Grated garlic 1 Teaspoon
  • Minced green chili 1 Teaspoon
  • Garam masala 1/4 Teaspoon (to taste)
  • Caraway seeds 1 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder 1 Pinch
  • Fresh lemon juice 2 Teaspoon
  • Salt To Taste

FOR BATTER

  • Corn starch 2 Tablespoon
  • Salt To Taste
  • Water 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) (as needed)

FOR FRYING

  • Oil 1 Cup (16 tbs) (For deep frying)

Instructions

MAKING

  • For the mixture – in a large bowl, mix together all the ingredients. Divide the mixture into small portions and give donut like shape. Set aside.
  • For the batter – in a small owl, add in cornstarch and gradually pour in the water; mixing continuously.
  • In a deep pan, heat the oil and dip the donut balls into cornstarch mixture and deep fry until golden brown.

SERVING

  • Serve with green chutney.
