One of your favorite dessert, which you can make without eggs. This quick and easy to make dessert then can be used in many recipes. I freeze it to enjoy as creamy Ice cream, make little more thick by adding 1 tbsp of Corn starch to use it as a pudding in triffle or serve with fruits.
- Custard powder 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) - I buy from Indian grocery and it is 100% vegetarian
- Sugar 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
- Half and half 3 Cup (48 tbs)
- Butter 2 Tablespoon
- Vanilla bean paste 1/4 Teaspoon (Optional)
- Corn starch 1 Tablespoon
In a thick-bottomed pan, add in custard powder and sugar and mix.
Pour a little amount of half and half and mix well to make lump free paste.
Now, add in remaining half and half and mix thoroughly.
Place the mixture to medium – high heat and bring to a boil, while stirring continuously.
Add in the butter and vanilla bean paste. Mix well.
Turn off the stove and let it cool completely. After that place in the refrigerator to set.
Serve with some fresh fruits.
