Homemade Mango Juice – Aam Ka Juice

This Homemade Mango Juice has no added sugar, no artificial flavors and no artificial additives or preservatives. Yes, you might be thinking that how can I retain the flavor of mango juice for longer. Well, I love to use Oranges or Lemon as preservative and to boost the flavor as well.
When it is Mango season in India, everyone goes mango crazy. Mango season happens twice a year in tropical climates, in the spring and fall or in the summer and winter. Because different countries harvest mangoes at different months within the year, they are available year-round.

A list of reasons why mangoes are the absolute greatest fruit in the world.

Mangoes have been named the most widely consumed fruit in the world.
Some of the possible health benefits of consuming mango include a decreased risk of macular degeneration, a decreased risk of colon cancer, improvement in digestion and bone health and even benefits for the skin and hair.
Mango fruit is rich in pre-biotic dietary fiber, vitamins, minerals, and poly-phenolic flavonoid antioxidant compounds.

According to new research study, mango fruit has been found to protect from colon, breast, leukemia and prostate cancers. Several trial studies suggest that polyphenolic antioxidant compounds in mango are known to offer protection against breast and colon cancers.

How to Make & Store Mango Juice

Servings: 8 Cups

Ingredients

  • 3 Ripe Mangoes Preferably sweet
  • 3 Oranges Or use Juice of 1 Lemon
  • 2 cups Water Or as needed to adjust the consistency of Juice

Instructions

  • Squeeze out juice from oranges or lemon, keep aside.
  • Cut Mangoes into pieces roughly. If you are using the mangoes that contains lot of fibrous strings, I recommend to pulp out using strain method. See the images for reference.
  • Into the blender, add cut mangoes, orange juice and blend till smooth. Add water as needed and blend one more time to mix everything really well.
  • Refrigerate Mango juice for up to 3 days or freeze for longer.

Notes

For the juicing purpose, I highly recommend to strain mango pulp if the mangoes are extensively fibrous. For the creamy mangoes, just cut mangoes roughly and blend with orange juice.
