Honey-Beauty Product from your Kitchen

Honey’s often thought of as a healthier sweetener, but you might be surprised to learn that this ingredient has tons of skin and hair benefits, too.
There are many surprising natural skin care ingredients/products hiding in your kitchen and garden. At present, I am using more than 20 kitchen products to retain and enhance my beauty. Skin is your largest organ and can absorb just about anything that is put on it. We always think about what we eat but hardly think about those commercial beauty products. I always prefer to use natural ingredients from my kitchen because they work really well and are chemical free and simple to use. I have a list of my favorite healthy beauty products that will leave you glowing from the inside out. The first one I shared was Sugar, Salt(Read my other articles) and in this post I would like to talk about Honey. I keep locally produced honey all year long as my older son has pollen allergy. Research shows that locally produced honey can help sooth allergies and other common sicknesses.

Honey is a natural sweetener which does not increase your blood sugar level. What is more, honey when taken with warm water and lemon juice in the morning, helps to shed extra weight from your body.

1. Honey is a natural cleanser which exfoliates your skin from the inside to bring the radiant and clear skin on the outside. Washing your face with honey keeps your skin soft and blemish –free.
2. Honey is a great conditioner for your hair. Mix honey with olive oil and apply this mix on your well-shampooed hair. Leave it on for one hour. Then wash off to experience very shiny and silky tresses in a jiffy.
3. A spoon of honey is a miracle that helps to turn back the clock. Honey has anti-inflammatory –properties that help in delaying the degenerative process of your skin. So do not forget to take a spoonful of honey daily to maintain your youthful charm!
4. Just apply honey to your chapped and dry lips. You lips will become smooth and moisturized with the gentle care of honey.
