Masala Burger

These burgers are awesome and are made with only veggies and no soy. The burgers are made from potatoes, carrots, beet root, corn, bell peppers and “indian” spices. These are best made on the stovetop or grilled. Once you make these burgers, you will never buy store bought burgers. Very affordable and versatile. You can easily make vegan and gluten free version as well. Just use gluten free or vegan bread and you are good to go!

Instructions

  1. Start by steaming the potato, sweet potato, beet and carrot. Or you can dice them and cook, try to make the cubes as consistent as possible, so that they will cook evenly in the pan. Over medium high heat, sauté the onion in a little bit of olive oil for about 5 minutes with ginger, garlic, green chilli paste. When onion and other pastes are done, add bell pepper, all whole and powdered spices, corn, green beans and cook for little bit. Add salt. Squeeze lime juice. Turn off the stove. Allow steamed and cooked vegetables to cool down. Mix steamed, cooked vegetables with bread slices and combine into nice mixture. Make burgers and cook on stove top or throw them on grill.

Can I freeze these patties before cooking them on stove?
