Flax Seeds Gel Meringue | Eggless Meringue

Ingredients

  • Flax seeds 2/3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  • Water 6 Cup (96 tbs)

Instructions

MAKING

  • In a saucepan, pour in the water and flax seeds. Boil for 30 – 40 minutes until it reduces to 1 ½ - 2 cups.
  • Strain the liquid in a jar and let it cool. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • Take ½ cup flaxseed gel in a stand mixer bowl and blend until stiff peak, for about 25 minutes.

SERVING

  • Flavor the meringue according to your preference and serve.

    Hello Bhavna, may I know if this flaxseed gel works for making macaron as well? I get a hard time to get the versawhip for the macaron so I wonder if I could use this instead.
    Also would like to ask how is the taste of this flaxseed gel base? Can it be used on any recipes that require eggwhite to be whipped to stiff peak?
