Salt-Beauty Product from your Kitchen

Can you imagine that you have been ignoring the cheapest beauty product till now? Now on, I recommend to keep the container of salt not only in your kitchen but in your bathroom as well. Believe me or not, it is so much affordable to keep up with your beauty than you think. All it requires is the habit of using natural products regularly.

There are many surprising natural skin care ingredients/products hiding in your kitchen and garden. At present, I am using more than 20 kitchen products to retain and enhance my beauty. Skin is your largest organ and can absorb just about anything that is put on it. We always think about what we eat but hardly think about those commercial beauty products. I always prefer to use natural ingredients from my kitchen because they work really well and are chemical free and simple to use. I have a list of my favorite healthy beauty products that will leave you glowing from the inside out. The first one I shared was Sugar(Read my other articles) and in this post I would like to talk about salt as it is very common to have in almost every kitchen.

1. Teeth Whitener

Salt and baking soda are both gentle abrasives that will help remove stains and brighten teeth. Salt also contains a natural source of fluoride, which is a bonus for your teeth and gums.

Mix one teaspoon salt and two teaspoons baking powder. Dip a damp toothbrush in the mixture, and brush teeth normally. If the taste is too intense, try putting a dab of toothpaste on the brush before dipping it in the mixture.

2. You can use it as mouthwash.

Because sea salt wards off bacteria, it helps to cleanse the gums and minimize bad breath, which makes it a great—and totally natural—ingredient for a DIY mouthwash. It even fights the bacteria that can be responsible for undesirable oral conditions like gingivitis and halitosis, and soothes pain and irritation from canker sores. Just combine sea salt with warm water in a glass and swish the mixture around your mouth for 30-60 seconds as you would with any mouthwash. If you like the fresh minty feeling that traditional mouthwash imparts, add a drop of peppermint extract to your DIY formula.

3. Salt Benefits For Skin

Salt has several skin benefits as well. Sea salt in bath water has a soothing and relaxing effect on the skin by removing dirt and toxins from the body. Bath salts are becoming increasingly popular these days. In addition, salt is also used in several beauty products. Some of its benefits for skin are as follows.
