Lemon-Beauty Product from your Kitchen

Lemon is a fantastic ally for skin, especially for people who suffer from oily skin. This ingredient, and its astringent properties, promote excess oil elimination and significantly improves skin’s appearance. That’s why it is important to keep in mind that lemon should be applied before going to bed, and under no circumstances should you expose yourself to sunlight. This could cause stains. It’s best to apply the treatment, and the next day, use sunscreen. All you need to do is squeeze the lemon a bit and apply it directly to your face using a spray or a cotton ball.

you can make your own blackhead busting version with just two ingredients: honey and, of course, lemons. Chill out for 15-30 minutes while your skin soaks up all the good stuff!
DIY Brightening and Tightening Face Mask: Lemon juice is the natural kryptonite for all of your skin related worst-case scenarios—dark spots, acne scars, and wrinkles—so adding the ingredient to a face mask is really a no-brainer. We love the addition of egg whites to this recipe—they help to tighten the skin and shrink pores.
Elbow and knee bleacher: “If your elbows and knees appear dark, simply rub them with half of a lemon,” says Patrice Coleman, owner of DaBlot Beauty. “It’s like magic!”

Teeth whitener: Mix baking soda and lemon juice, and apply it to your teeth with a clean Q-tip. Then, use your toothbrush to scrub your teeth and rinse. It’s way cheaper than going to your dentist’s office.
Nail strengthener: Have you been getting too many gel manicures? Make a mixture of your favorite cooking oil (try olive oil) with lemon juice, and soak your nails. This is a good practice if your nails are dry and brittle, but it’s also a great way to help fix nails that have yellowed.
Hair Lightener: I add lemon juice in my Henna to lighten my sharp black hair color. Score dye-free DIY highlights with lemon juice. Apply it before you expose your hair to sunlight to score a sun-kissed color. The lemon juice can also help treat a dry scalp and dandruff, so apply it liberally.
