I do not hesitate to consume more oil and butter during winter. In fact, I make some of my very special traditional high cal food to boost my energy level. I increase my food intake of nuts, beans, lentils, whole grains, dairy, greens, oil and so on.
My first favorite is Energy Balls made with nuts, seeds and dried fruits. Sometimes, I add spices in it as well such as all spice or dry ginger powder and cardamom. These little wonders globes contain brain boostings fats from dry nuts, vitamins from dry fruits and many other nutrition from seeds.
My second favorite is Indian Methi Pak, Adadiya Pak. I actually combine these both and prepare my version of Methi Adadiya Pak. Ton of ingredients go in this recipe and so very high in protein, calcium, iron, fiber and many other healing properties. This recipe is prepared with beans flours, herbs, spices, nuts and more.
My next favorite is Magas (Indian Chickpea Flour Fudge), high in protein, fiber and calcium.
