I was born and brought up in India, the Land of Spices & Flavors. And Those presences make the Indian food delicious and unique. I grew up eating my traditional Gujarati food. Indian food is very dear to me!

Many cultural food is healthy enough if eaten the right way including our Indian food.

Understanding traditional and modern eating
traditional eating has been related to positive health outcomes and sustainability. people who eat according to the rules of a traditional food culture are generally healthier than those of us eating a modern processed & modified food.

I personally have witnessed my ancestor staying fit by following local food diet hence I never thought of changing my own diet. My parents and in-laws are living healthy life in their 70s and that’s another proof for me to continue with my existing diet. Don’t get me wrong, I also enjoy many other cuisines like Mexican, Italian Mediterranean Chinese and so on. I am a big time foodie, I believe that variety is the spice of life. One can eat Indian or in fact any cultural food smartly and still lose or maintain weight. I try to include as many vegetable, fruits, legumes, whole grains as I can.
While not every diet plan would require us to give up foods we love, others may urge us to.
Indian curries are filled with minerals and vitamins that are fulfilling. Of course, Indian foods are spicy, but they can also improve metabolism. You can definitely feast on Indian dishes on a daily basis. In addition, Indian curries several herbs and different types and colors of spices to add rich flavor.
So the conclusion is to eat moderate and mindfully with the right portion control.
