Eggless Chocolate Cake from Ready Cake Mix

Chocolate cake is almost everyone’s favorite. I had so many request if I could share Chocolate cake recipe using ready cake mix but without egg. So I came up with the idea of using flax seeds for egg substitute. I have shared Chocolate cake from scratch as well if you do not use those ready cake mixes. If desired, 1 cup of yogurt can be used to replace 3 eggs in ready cake mix.

This recipe is prepared with ready chocolate cake mix but without using egg. I use flax seeds for egg replacement but if you don't have on hand, you can leave it out and still cake will be great. Sometimes, when I use these kind of cake premixes, I do not even replace egg and still cakes come out great.   • 21/2 cups ready chocolate cake mix (Betty Croker mix recomended)
  • 11/2 tbsp Flax seeds powder (see section eggless cooking)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup regular whole milk
  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda (Cake mix already contain, so only 1/4 tsp needed)
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Sift all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl
  3. Add vegetable oil
  4. Now make batter with adding milk slowly
  5. When batter consistancy is smooth, spray 9" round tray with cooking spray
  6. Pour better into the tray
  7. Place on the middle rack and bake about 15-20min
  8. Check with tooth pick into the center of the cake
  9. If the inserted tooth pick comes out clean then the cake done
  10. Take out cake on cooling rack and let it cool for about 10-15min
  11. Decorate with you favourite frosting.
